The Pastor Partner Program was designed as a support to the work of pastoral counselors with their congregation and is provided in two ways. First, all my clients are asked upon their initial interview if they would like to have their religious beliefs and values incorporated into the counseling process and if they would like their Pastor’s involvement.
Second, Pastors making referrals are encouraged to provide information and guidance that would be helpful to their parishioner while in treatment with me and, with consent, will be invited to continue their participation.
The responsibility a Pastor feels for the wellbeing of one of their flock is understood and appreciated and I express my commitment to working cooperatively with local clergy in support of their parishioners.
